Biography

Alexy Goguet is a French visual artist and designer based in Dubai, UAE.

He completed his Masters in Arts and Digital Creation with a solo photography exhibition in France, after which he travelled to Dubai to pursue a career in design and advertising.

Alexy spends his time exploring Dubai's culture and visual vernacular, embracing all of its quirks and translating it through sevaeral mediums. Two of his photography series “Dubai Metro Painting” and “Post Now Bills” were exhibited respectively in 2014 and 2015 at Mattar Bin Lahej's Gallery in Dubai.

In 2023, Alexy created and built his new series “Once Upon A Snack” made with Lego bricks and was selected to exhibit at the Sikka Art Festival in 2023, following shortly with the same extended series at the first edition of BRED Abu Dhabi.

Alexy's work focuses on memory and the lack thereof, time, accumulation, wastes — often with a knack for irony.
